It is just an instance of wxDialog, not a instance of a class derived from wxDialog that was given some added functionality.\n\nYou can put whatever controls you want on these non-derived dialogs, but the dialog won't interact with the controls, nor do anything in response to any of their events. It only has the built-in functionality of a wxDialog, and that is it. A non-derived dialog can automatically close itself when you hit either the OK or Cancel button (returning a return code of what button you pressed), and not much else.\n\nThese are useful for an About dialog, or a message dialog popup, but that's about it. For the rest you will almost certainly use a derived dialog (see next example).</value>
