Some legacy TLS 1.0 software does not tolerate the 1/n-1 content
split BEAST mitigation technique. This commit adds a beast_mitigation
SSL option (defaulting to one_n_minus_one) to select or disable the
BEAST mitigation technique.
Valid option values are (one_n_minus_one | zero_n | disabled).

For -start_epmd, check that the node starts properly and that we can
ping it.
For -epmd_module, start two nodes that can communicate only because we
supply the correct port number through a command line argument.
|
|
If the -epmd_module flag has been specified on the command line, use
that module to register and look up node names instead of the default,
erl_epmd.
Also document this option.
|
|
Add a command line option that lets you disable automatic starting of
epmd when starting a distributed node.
This differs from the undocumented setting -no_epmd, in that it does
not affect the starting of an erl_epmd process within
erl_distribution: the newly started node will expect an epmd instance
to have been started previously.

Y registers are killed by the deallocate/1 instruction, so there is no
need to handle Y register in the return/1 instruction in
check_liveness/3.
There is also no need to keep check_liveness_live_ret/3 since it
is only used in one place.

In complicated code with many indirect jumps to the func_info label,
a label could get lost.
|
|
A negative allocation could be calculated if a block had multiple
allocations. Make sure to process the block in the right order
so that the correct allocation is processed. Also add an assertion.
This bug was often not noticed because beam_type usually silently
recalculates the allocation amount in test_heap/2 instructions.
|
|
Generate code that not only is safe, but can easily be seen by
beam_validator to be safe.
|
|
Sometimes v3_codegen would generate unsafe code when there was
a call to error/1 in a guard.

ct_telnet_own_server_SUITE:large_string tests that the client can
receive a chopped up string. To make sure the right thing is tested, a
SHORT timer is used before calling ct_telnet:get_data, but on some
slow machines the the timer is too short to allow data to be
received. To overcome this, the test now re-tries ct_telnet:get_data a
few times before giving up.

Remove the restriction to only do the translation for
gen_server and gen_fsm. This enables user defined
gen based generic callback modules to be displayed nicely in
c:i() and observer.

When building match result patterns the tuples they must qouted
with { }, which causes a problem with variable patterns.
Use element(1, Match) instead of trying to build the two tuple.

The extra trace data has been moved to the opts map in order
for the tracer to be able to distinguish inbetween extra
trace data 'undefined' and no extra trace data. In the same
commit all opts associations have been changed so that if
the tracer should not use them, the key is left unassicated
instead of being sent to undefined. This should be give a
small performance gain and also makes the API easier to work
with.

FTP tests needed some refactoring as some tests where lost to
the ftp_suite_lib module that was not run.
|
|
* Added a suite opt_verify_SUITE.erl to HiPE that tests for the results
of optimisations, with a single testcase that checks that the
icode_call_elim optimisation pass does remove calls to maps:is_key/2
where sound and not otherwise.
* Made hipe_testsuite_driver only create explicitly listed suites.
|
|
* Implemented removal of maps:is_key/2 calls of which the result is
known in a new pass during the typed phase, called
hipe_icode_call_elim.
* Added the option icode_call_elim that enables the
hipe_icode_call_elim pass, and made it default for o2.
