That missed comm_up when something like the following was received on
FreeBSD (for one):
{sctp,#Port<0.599>,
{127,0,0,1},
45455,
{[{sctp_sndrcvinfo,0,0,[],0,0,0,0,145060462,3}],

The latter is deprecated in OTP 19.

Extracting data from debug info in BEAM files is parallelized.
The speed-up is not outstanding. If memory is not an issue, adding
`{spawn_opt, [{min_heap_size, <large number>}]}' to the option list of
xref:start/2 can make a (small) difference.
Reading of modules from a directory is parallelized. Attempts to
parallelize all modules when adding a release have been rejected since
the gain showed to be small compared to the increased complexity of
the code.
Using a process for coordinating the reading has not been attempted.

* kvakvs/erts/monitor_port/OTP-11384:
erts: Add port monitors
|
|
* erlang:monitor/2 with port argument is added, erlang:demonitor, using port task API and avoiding locking;
* port_info and process_info support for monitored ports (with named port monitors support);
* Exit signals contain type 'process' or 'port';
* Propagation of port exit signals;
* Self-cleaning when origin process dies with monitor on;
* 8 test cases + testcase for port driver crashing;
* Documentation for all of the above (monitor, demonitor, port_info and process_info) updated

A fix for running 19.0-rc2 on FreeBSD with HiPE enabled.
* erl_mmap.h: disregard MAP_NORESERVE for FreeBSD
MAP_NORESERVE is undefined in FreeBSD 10.x and later.
This is to enable 64bit HiPE experimentally on FreeBSD.
Note that on FreeBSD MAP_NORESERVE was "never implemented"
even before 11.x (and the flag does not exist in /usr/src/sys/vm/mmap.c
of 10.3-STABLE r301478 either), and HiPE was working on OTP 18.3.3,
so mandating MAP_NORESERVE on FreeBSD might not be needed.
See the following message on how MAP_NORESERVE was treated on FreeBSD:
<http://lists.llvm.org/pipermail/cfe-commits/Week-of-Mon-20150202/122958.html>
* erl_mmap.c: disable MAP_NORESERVE for FreeBSD

Use the negotiated cipher suite's PRF algorithm in calls to
ssl:prf/5, rather than a hard-coded one.
For TLS 1.0 the PRF algorithm was hard-coded to MD5/SHA1. This
was correct 100% of the time.
For TLS 1.1 and 1.2 the PRF algorithm was hard-coded to SHA256.
This was correct only some of the time for TLS 1.2 and none of the
time for TLS 1.1. Because the TLS handshake code calls tls_v1:prf/5
through another path, the handshaking process used the negotiated
PRF and did not encounter this bug.
A new test (prf) has been added to ssl_basic_SUITE to guard against future
breakage.

|
gen_tcp:recv allows this, and if you're doing something like
Transport:recv(Socket, 0, 0), TCP will work and SSL will exit with
function_clause
There were other cases of this throughout the module. This PR cleans
them all up.

Turns out we can not count on the "hashsigns" sent by the client and
the supported "hashigns" sets to have required properties of ordsets.
|
|

|
|
It is possible that '...' is added later (OTP 20.0), but for now we
are not sure of all details.
|
|
The test case config_dynamic_SUITE:test_localtime_update sometimes
failed on slow machines, since the initial value of 'localtime' is
fetched with ct:get_config instead of ct:reload_config. The value is
then from the test run start, not from the time of the ct:get_config
call. This is now corrected.

To avoid badarg when two tests are run within the same test case.
|
|
Since the same erlang process is used for subsequent telnet
connections, messages from old clients must be flushed after close.
|
|
ct_gen_conn_SUITE_data/conn_SUITE.erl uses a lot of ct:sleep(100) when
waiting for processes to exit. This commit removes all the sleeps and
introducess monitor instead.
