The macro ?t is deprecated. Replace its use with 'test_server'.
|
|
|
|
?config is ugly and not recommended. Use proplists:get_value/2
instead.
|
|
Either rely on the default 30 minutes timetrap, or set the timeout
using the supported methods in common_test.
|
|
As a first step to removing the test_server application as
as its own separate application, change the inclusion of
test_server.hrl to an inclusion of ct.hrl and remove the
inclusion of test_server_line.hrl.

Local fun references look like plain old variables in the Core Erlang
AST but should not be treated as such. Inlining of such expressions is
now restricted to application contexts as a local fun reference should
never occur in a guard.
This is not perfect as it forbids inlining in some safe situations, but
that is still better than a compiler crash.

* nox/promote-inline_list_funcs/OTP-10690:
Raise a function_clause error with the right arguments when inlining
Properly guard against badly-typed arguments when inlining
Make inlined list functions fail with function_clause
Document compiler option 'inline_list_funcs'
Silence some wrong warnings triggered by inline_list_funcs
|
|
The inlined lists functions raised an error with only the list instead
of all their given arguments.
|
|
The inlining code for inline_list_funcs silenced the function_clause
error that should occur when calling lists:map(3.5, []).
|
|
The function_clause errors produced by inline_list_funcs should properly
be annotated with their function names to avoid kernel_v3 making them
into case_clauses errors. See v3_kernel:translate_match_fail_1/4.

Run testcases in parallel will make the test suite run slightly
faster. Another reason for this change is that we want more testing
of parallel testcase support in common_test.

Compilation would fail with an error message similar to:
comma_splitter: function split_at_comma/2+32:
Internal consistency check failed - please report this bug.
Instruction: {put,{x,0}}
Error: {match_context,{x,0}}:

This commit is a preparation for introducing location information
(filename/line number) in stacktraces in exceptions. Currently
a stack trace looks like:
[{Mod1,Function1,Arity1},
.
.
.
{ModN,FunctionN,ArityN}]
Add a forth element to each tuple that can be used indication
the filename and line number of the source file:
[{Mod1,Function1,Arity1,Location1},
.
.
.
{ModN,FunctionN,ArityN,LocationN}]
In this commit, the fourth element will just be an empty list,
and we will change all code that look at or manipulate stacktraces.

In 3d0f4a3085f11389e5b22d10f96f0cbf08c9337f (an update to conform
with common_test), in all test_lib:recompile(?MODULE) calls, ?MODULE
was changed to the actual name of the module. That would cause
test_lib:recompile/1 to compile the module with the incorrect
compiler options in cloned modules such as record_no_opt_SUITE,
causing worse coverage.
