The stronger compiler optimizations made the test case fail.
|
|
The bug could be seen by running the test that is added by this commit
in a valgrind enabled emulator.

In particular, valgrind needs a lot of time for certain tests.

While we are it, also re-ident the files.
|
|
We want to re-ident the source files after having taken out
all ?line macros. When re-indenting using Emacs, it's important
that comments that should be at the beginning of a line (or
follow the indentation of statements around it) must start with
"%%".

Either rely on the default 30 minutes timetrap, or set the timeout
using the supported methods in common_test.

As a first step to removing the test_server application as
as its own separate application, change the inclusion of
test_server.hrl to an inclusion of ct.hrl and remove the
inclusion of test_server_line.hrl.

The compile_pattern/1 function in the binref module is a dummy
function. Therefore, calling binref:match/2 once with the plain
pattern and once with a "pre-compiled" pattern will take twice as
long, but will not help us find more errors.
I shaved off one fourth of the running time for random_ref_comp/1
by eliminating the unnecessary calls to the binref module.
|
|
The most expensive part of random_ref_comp/1 is
do_matches_loop_comp/4. The running time was reduced from roughly
80 seconds to roughly 40 seconds on my computer when I modified
the caller to pre-compile the pattern.

|
This option can be set to remove _ALL_ empty parts of the result of a call to
binary:split/3.

Stabilize tests for all kind of machines
Old sparc (and newer smaller) machines timeouts in 'random_ref_comp'
decrease load and increase timeouts.
Supervisor:
Turn up accepted time, since if non-linear it should be much worse,
now the test failes on slow multicore machines
Remove memory tests, they fail sometimes and those tests are not
needed to be tested. Hard to predict GC's and other processes behaviours.

Even more tests added to cover more error cases, some tests
