- Add new testcases to uri_string_SUITE.
- Improve calculation of parsed binary.
- Verify if input to parse() is UTF8 encoded.
- Update is_valid_map(): added check for path
and host.

- Improved calculation of parsed binary.
- Added tests for special corner cases.
- Fixed dialyzer warnings.
|
|
- Implemented recompose function with percent-encoding and
validation of IPv4/IPv6 addresses.
- Added test for recompose that uses a generated test
vector (URI combinations based on a fix set of URI
components).
- Added test for parse-recompose using a generated
test vector.
- Removed parsing functions for lists. Lists are converted to
binary before parsing.

Rand plugin for cached strong crypto bytes
OTP-13370

Allow characters with special meaning to be escaped using
\ (which must be writen as \\ in a string). That allows
matching of filenames containing characters that are special
in wildcards.
This is an incompatible change, but note that the use of backslashes
in wildcards would already work differently on Windows and Unix. Take
for example this call:
filelib:wildcard("a\\b")
On Windows, filelib:wildcard/1 would look for a directory named
"a", and a file or directory named "b" inside it.
On Unix, filelib:wildcard/1 would look for a file named "a\\b".
With this commit applied, filelib:wildcard/1 will look for
a file named "ab" on both Windows and Unix.

Upgrade to PCRE 8.41 from PCRE 8.40

OTP-14574
* rickard/pcre-8.41:
Upgrade to PCRE 8.41 from PCRE 8.40
|

This reverts commit d8c8e0c66d6faf5402682f3a8568362eedebdfee.
|
|
|
|
If the gen_server process needs to perform an action immediately
after initialization or to break the execution of a callback into
multiple steps, it can return {continue, term()} in place of the
time-out or hibernation value, which will immediately invoke the
handle_continue/2 callback with the given term.
This provides a more accessible approach to after initialization
compared to proc_lib+enter_loop that is also guaranteed to be
safe.
It also allows callbacks that need to do lengthy or stateful work
to checkpoint the state throughout multiple iterations. This can
be useful, for example, when implementing behaviours on top of
gen_server.

[make] Do not use the interactive tool 'c' from make

In OTP-20, c:c/1,2 started using the directory of the source file as
default output directory. For backwards compatibility reasons this is
now reversed so the current directory is used instead.

The check of bad nowarn_deprecated_function tags in -compile
attributes often made it impossible to compile modules with the
warnings_as_errors option in two consecutive releases.
|
|
Add a few more tests to the proc_lib_SUITE.
|

The `error_logger_format_depth` variable is `unlimited` by default.
This can cause errors when logging crash reports using sasl logger,
because `io_lib:format("~P"...` does not support `unlimited` as a
depth parameter.
Use formatter string "~p" for unlimited depth.
A way to reproduce the error:
Start erl with sasl logger:
erl -boot start_sasl -sasl errlog_type error -sasl sasl_error_logger tty
Report arbitrary error:
error_logger:error_report(crash_report, [fake_crash_report, foo]).

The ms_transform module, used by ets:fun2ms/1 and dbg:fun2ms,
evaluates constant arithmetic expressions. This is necessary since the
Erlang compiler, which normally evaluates constant expressions, does
not recognize the format generated by ms_transform.
