The yang RFC allows more than one top element of config data in an
edit-config element.

By default, each command is appended with "\n", but in some cases a
command must end with "\r\n" to evaluate correctly. This can now be
specified with option {newline,"\r\n"}.

Since Logger was introduced in OTP-21.0, menu choice Log > Toggle Log
View in observer would cause a crash unless an error_logger event
handler was explicitly installed. This is now corrected.

This patch improves the performance of calendar:gregorian_days_to_date/1
by changing the algorithm for finding the year to log-logarithmic.
The old implementation has linear complexity, which makes function
too slow for large values.
For example:
There is an API that allows you to create events for future dates.
There are users of this API who, for some reasons, choose dates
very far in the future. In such conditions, function works very slow.
New implementation based on interpolation search, takes 1 or 2
iterations at most cases and free from such a flaw.
A unit test was also developed to illustrate the speed of a function
at large values.

There would be a bogus warning when compiling the following
function with the `tuple_calls` option:
dispatch(X) ->
(list_to_atom("prefix_" ++ atom_to_list(suffix))):doit(X).
The warning would look like this:
no_file: this expression will fail with a 'badarg' exception

|
The bug could be seen by running the test that is added by this commit
in a valgrind enabled emulator.

It accepts both atoms and strings for the node and host name,
plus IP tuples for the host name.

openssl 1.1.x changed the default ECC curves that made testcases
fail in the ECC suite. openssl s_server and s_client sent
'Illegal Parameter' alert when the CertificateVerify (client) or
ServerKeyExchange (server) message was signed with a curve that
was not present in openssl's default ECC curve list (x25519,
secp256r1, secp521r1, secp384r1, brainpoolP256r1, brainpoolP384r1,
brainpool512r1).
This commit changes the default curve of make_ec_cert_chains to
'secp256r1' and explicitly configures the default curve in
those testcases where the default curve of the ssl application
is expected.

Invoking wxDialog:showModal could cause a seg-fault on Mojave
if invoked from inside event callback.
Which could happen when wx dispatch commands inside send_event.
Wx dispatches commands inside send_event because some events
will not return to idle mode (on Windows) until mouse is released.
These events are (at least) wxSize and wxMove according to previous
commits.
Solved by only dispatching commands for those events.
Another solution might be to ifdef the code to only do it on windows
or not do it on the Mac.

We want to decrease the size of the outer state tuple, and gain
ease of understanding by better grouping. This is the first step
of creating a hs_env (handshake environment) part of the state.
This change will be performed gradually to reduce merge conflicts
complexity and risk of introducing errors.

Prior to PR#1807, uncovered lines could be found by searching for "
0.." in the HTML page generated by cover:analyse_to_file/1,2. The pull
request removed the two dots after the number of hits, which makes it
much harder to find the uncovered lines.
This commit introduces a sad face, :-( , instead of the single 0
character, which should make the search easier.
